The "Importance of performance"...is what
every aspiring musician must strive to
understand and perfect. In order to reach
your listener, whether it be in the studio or
live, you must "perform" your ultimate best
each and every time you play. Those who
aspire to be the next "big thing" must work
much harder and be much better than those
that have come before to gain attention and
be recognized. A good voice is simply not
enough! When you perform, let your energy and your
emotion show through your eyes and your body movement.
Use your hands, move your arms, tell the story... Every
song should be told with conviction and truthfulness. First,
pick a song you believe in. One that speaks to you in some
way. Find a mirror to watch yourself or better yet, pick a
friend or family member to give you honest feedback and
don't just sing....PERFORM! See how much better you look and feel when you sing from your heart and not just from
your lips. People will notice!! Because, not only is music important to you, but most importantly, it is important to
your listeners....
